Mandatory Coney Island post

Going to Coney Island kind of proved to be a strange experience for me. I've heard the name thrown around my whole life, seen photographs of the carnival, and videos of a hot dog machine at Nathan's. That, coupled with my understanding of it as a historical site, but still functioning as a commercial entity made for an interesting feeling. Can't quite put my finger on it.
